Slurry / Barrier Wall Installation
When a slurry or barrier wall is required on a site, EMS has the experience and expertise to assist. To install a slurry wall, EMS typically excavates a narrow trench and adds a biopolymer solution that creates a slurry, then backfills with clean soils or engineered fill. This process minimizes soil disposal costs and allows for installation of groundwater recovery equipment. To install a barrier wall (depending on the project specifications), EMS typically uses a permeable reactive barrier or natural clay soil/bentonite mixture to prevent contaminant migration.
